Icon Cancer Foundation truck draws support at Lights on the Hill memorial convoy

Thousands of truck drivers and fans gathered in Gatton, Queensland over the weekend for one of the state’s largest trucking events, the Lights on the Hill Dual Memorial Convoy. Trucks from Brisbane and Toowoomba converged at the Gatton Showgrounds for a day filled with family-friendly entertainment.

Amid the festivities, the Icon Cancer Foundation-branded truck, generously supported by Nolan’s Interstate Transport, was a major highlight of the event.

Truckin’ Republic, a local business specialising in trucking merchandise, sold shirts, caps, and hoodies featuring the distinctive purple rig, with $5 from each item sold going directly to Icon Cancer Foundation (ICF).

The response from the community was overwhelming, with more than 800 items sold, resulting in a complete sell-out of stock. The funds raised will help support ICF’s mission to fund independent cancer research.

A special thanks to the Nolan family for their continued support of ICF and to Truckin’ Republic Director James “Jimmy” Cresshull for designing the exclusive merchandise.

Those who missed out can still order items online until early December, with a portion of sales continuing to support cancer research.

Lights on the Hill Memorial is an event dedicated to honouring members of the Australian transport industry who have tragically lost their lives.
